I'm Chelsea, the face and the camera behind Chelsea Rousey Photography. I am madly in love with this job, and to photograph your wedding is truly an honor. I always come away from a wedding on a cloud. I come away feeling like I’ve just experienced something beautiful and one of a kind and momentous.
For me, a wedding has always been a grand beginning. Rather than “the best day of your lives” I want to help commemorate the “first day of the rest of your lives”. Making the brave decision to turn two separate storylines into one rich and lifelong narrative is about much more than just one day. Your wedding is about celebrating the people who helped you along the way, the perfect moments of new love as well as the lessons in the imperfect times when things don’t go according to plan. It’s about celebrating the love that you have for each other that’s brought you to where you are today.

I love shooting engagement and couples sessions for so many reasons. It’s such a wonderful experience for me to put two people in love in front of my camera and see what happens.
Engagement Sessions are $790 for up to two hour session with two outfits and two locations.
Each couple is unique, with different personalities and different stories and it is my goal to create fun, beautiful, spirited images that tell your story. Our session together is going to be a lot of fun!

How would you describe your style?
I would best describe my style as timeless, bright, emotive, and light driven! My images reflect my love of neutral palettes, clean composition, beautiful light, and trying to capture your genuine connection while making you look naturally beautiful! On the wedding day, I mix portraiture with storytelling and photojournalism, with the intention to deliver a gallery of images that artfully tells the story of your wedding day

How many images do you take during a wedding day?
I take as many images as I think are required to capture the events and record the emotions during each wedding day. I definitely don’t have a limit to how many photos I deliver! However, I do also use that number of around 60 images per hour as a reference. This is a give and take, of course! If there are 200 amazing images every single hour, you’re getting them all!

HAVE YOU SHOT AT OUR LOCATION BEFORE?
I have been in and shot in many of the beautiful churches and venues that New Orleans has to offer. However, I LOVE shooting at new venues and seeing a location with fresh eyes is very valuable as well! I am skilled in shooting in many different environments and lighting scenarios so I feel confident that I would do an excellent job capturing your venue. I would also be more than happy to visit your venue with you prior to the wedding day!

How much is the retainer and what is the payment plan?
For weddings the non refundable retainer to confirm your booking is 25 percent of the full collection price. Another 25% installment is due 30 days after signing and the final 50% installment is due one month before your wedding date ensuring that we get to chat about fun stuff only in the weeks leading up to your wedding!

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
My calendar fills up quickly so I recommend booking as soon as possible. 12-18 months in advance is standard.

Amazing! I am so thrilled! The next step is to email me to confirm that I have your date available. Once we select the best collection for you, I will send you a contract to sign and instructions on how to pay the retainer. Please know that I cannot hold any date without both the retainer and contract completed. I can't wait to work with you!
